1509: Henry VIII becomes King of England

1909:
William Howard Taft is elected President of the United States of
America. At six-feet tall and 352 lbs., Taft is the fattest President
in US history.

1972: Bill Cosby creates and voices characters for the cartoon, "Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids"

1985: "The Goonies" is released, introducting the world to the Truffle Shuffle

1993: Yokozuna wins the World Wrestling Entertainment's World Championship

2004: "Fat Albert" is remade as a live action film, staring Kenan Thompson

2005: "The Goonies" -- along with The Truffle Shuffle -- are featured in an episode of "Family Guy." Here Peter Griffin does his famous laugh, followed by 'Childhood Obesity!'

2006: Everybody's favorite Fat Kid, Jamie Madrox, releases his solo album, entitled "Phatso"

2007: Joey Chestnut, a fat American man, wins the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Competition, finally putting an end to the six-year reign of Takeru Kobayashi, a skinny Japanese man.
